ChemCert South Australia Board

   
Richard Way



Richard Way is the current Chairman of ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated (CSA) and a Director of ChemCert Limited (CCL). Richard has been on the ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board for over 10 years. Prior to that Richard served in several positions in the South Australia Farmers Federation, including as the Chairman of their Community Services Committee. The ChemCert (SA) Board manages the ChemCert training program in South Australia and accredits between 1500 and 2000 chemical users each year.


Richard has had extensive experience in negotiating with government departments and assisting in developing policies. Richard was instrumental in developing the regulations which governed the introduction and control of Genetically Modified Organisms in South Australia. Richard is also responsible for liaising with key stakeholders in the industry. Richard has been actively involved in many local and state level agricultural organisations including the YP Alkaline Soils Group, the Agricultural Bureau and the YP Rural Counselling Service
.


Richard has completed a TAFE course in Farm Business Management and lives in Port Vincent, South Australia where he runs a mixed grain and sheep enterprise. Richard enjoys kayaking, bike riding and photographing nature, and has held an Amateur Radio licence from 1979.

Monique White

Monique White represents the South Australian Dairyfarmers Association (SADA) on the ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board. Monique has over 10 years experience working for the South Australian Dairy industry initially as a Land and Water Management Planning Officer for the Dairies between Mannum and Wellington and currently as the South Australian Dairying for Tomorrow Coordinator.

Dairying for Tomorrow is the Australian Dairy Industries environmental management program. Coordinated by Dairy Australia it provides national tools to support regional on farm change projects. One of the national tools the Dairy SAT (the Environmental Self Assessment Tool) contains is a section on chemical management which has highlighted the industry’s need for targeted chemical training that meets industry requirements. Monique has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the University of Adelaide.

Yvonne Correll

Yvonne is the Advisory Board of Agriculture (ABA) Representative on the ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board. Originally from Moonta on the Yorke Peninsula, Yvonne worked in an Accountancy and Legal Office in taxation, legal, estate and accounting departments prior to marrying Trevor and moving to Kulpara (near Paskeville).  Yvonne later continued her studies completing a Certificate III in Agriculture and a Diploma in Rural Business Management. In addition to this Yvonne continued to undergo professional development courses and other courses relevant to her farming business.

Trevor and Yvonne lived on their cropping property at Kulpara for 30 years before moving to a grazing property at Lucindale in the South East, leaving their son Nick and daughter-in-law Cynthia to manage the cropping property and develop a prime lamb enterprise to compliment their cropping enterprise.

Since moving to the South East, Yvonne has been actively involved in Lochaber Agric. Bureau, Women in Agriculture and is a member of the Advisory Board of Agriculture representing the Mid and Lower South East Regions.  This role has been beneficial in the understanding of a new region of the State and assisting in the understanding of their new property. 

Yvonne and Trevor also have a daughter, Mignon living in Adelaide and find any excuse to visit their three grandchildren and family at Kulpara.

Graeme Schutz

Graeme is a key Industry Representative on the ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board. Graeme grew up on a mixed farm at Point Pass via Eudunda. The farm’s enterprises included pigs, layer chooks, beef cattle, and cropping, (including wheat, barley, oats, peas and canola).


Graeme then moved into seasonal work within the Viticulture/Horticulture industry in the Barossa Valley and interstate in Mildura.  Graeme was involved in the selling of a foliar liquid fertilizer K- Komplex for a short period.


Since 2001 Graeme has been employed by Orlando Wines as a Cellar Hand and an OHS&W representative for the work group. Graeme has also recently completed his Certificate IV in OHS&W.
Graeme currently lives in the Barossa Valley with his wife, his 2 and half year old daughter and has a second child due in August 2011.

Barry McClure

Barry is the Treasurer of ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board and a representative from the South Australian Farmers Federation. 

Barry is a livestock producer (predominantly cattle) and some cropping from the Meningie region.  Barry has a great interest in Agripolitics and in particular in his various positions over the years with the SA Farmers Federation, having been a continuing member of the SAFF Agribusiness Committee for 20 years, and its chair for 4 years during that time. Barry has been a valuable contributor to the SAFF policy section.

Barry was appointed as a foundation board member of EIOSA (Energy Industry Ombudsman SA) for nine years.  Barry is also the current President of the local branch of the Liberal Party. He has an honours degree in Organic Chemistry from the Adelaide University.

Barry lives in Meningie with his wife and has five children.

Rob Jacobs

Rob represents PITC on the ChemCert Australia (SA) Incorporated Board.
